i read poetry before i drive home
i like to calm before i commute
and what i’ve learned from this ritual
is that
traffic snarls
cars lumber
the radio wails
congestion is chestless
wipers are restless
and i travel without moving an inch.
somewhere between head and heart
i read poetry before i drive home
i like to calm before i commute
and what i’ve learned from this ritual
is that
traffic snarls
cars lumber
the radio wails
congestion is chestless
wipers are restless
and i travel without moving an inch.
