From the 30s, 40's, old sterling silver brooch depicting bird on branch theme

Size: Approximately 1 3/4 x 2 1/4 inches.

3 dimensional.

Closure: working roll over popular locking pin hinge

Stamped "STERLING" on reverse.

Design appears to have been created by a combination of techniques: cast silver from mold, with repousse, embossing, layering, wire work, joining of parts. Fine tooling marks such as the feather detail at birds neck.

Condition: No damage. Old patina still with some shine. Some anodized areas for contrast and where wings join body.

Very Victorian and collectible. Old heirloom piece.
