A truly fabulous late 1950's/1960's magazine rack with an integrated narrow shelf unit.

The frame is made from steel which has been twisted and then stove enamelled in black.

The sides of the magazine rack are formed from yellow plastic wrapped over the metal with yellow and green plastic wrapping to the rounded handles.

The shelf frame is made from straight steel also stove enamelled. There is a central black gloss tile with a tile either side depicting wonderful birds of paradise amongst flowers and foliage.

There is no maker's mark but this was sourced in Southern France.

A wonderfully decorative and highly practical item to grace a retro decor.

The condition is fantastic for it's age but - 1 of the tiles has a hairline crack, photo 10. The black tile has some scratches, the finish on the steel is worn in places, photo 9, but is mainly in very good condition. The magazine rack is narrower at one end than the other on one side but I think this would straighten out with some bravery and brute force if desired. The plastic wrap is clean and also in very good condition.
