The popular lamp was designed by Morten Kjelstrup & Allan Ostgaard for the Swedish branch of Ikea in 1990.
The lamp was supposed to resemble a lantern, and in my opinion it is just like that. By default, the lamp was designed for children to illuminate their rooms in an interesting way. Due to the colorful plastic housing and holes in the upper part, the lamp looks beautiful when it is lit. The projects of these two men definitely liked the fans of the Ikea brand, because they cooperated several times.
The lamp is preserved in very good condition, with practically no signs of use. It is fully operational and looks great. In my opinion, it can be an eye-catching lamp for a child's room or an interesting addition to a modern apartment.
