The towel is woven by hand in the 30-40 years of the twentieth century. Size: 108" x 15". Good condition.

Such towels are called Krolevets the name itself comes from the name of the town of Krolevets, Sumy region.

The first mention of the Krolevets towel dates from 1693. In the XVIII-XIX centuries, Krolevets was one of the centers of Ukrainian weaving art.

During the Soviet times, the factory where the factory worked in the city there were about 800 employees (Krolevets towels were exhibited in 50 countries).

At the end of the popular 19th century, Krolevets wedding towels cost 1 ruble and 20 cents at the fair, which at the time was equal to the value of a cow!
