Antique French 950 popular Sterling Silver Salad Serving Fork & Spoon Set

Presented is an antique, French silver salad serving fork and spoon set made by Charles Ravinet & Charles Denfert of Paris during the first quarter of the 1900s. The handles are French 1st Standard, 950 purity silver, which is actually higher than sterling, 925 purity silver. The bases are celluloid plastic made to look like ivory. The handles are done in a classic French pattern and the back of each handle has a monogram of the initials CH.

Each handle is marked with the French Minerva mark for 1st standard 950 purity silver, the boar's head small guarantee mark and a maker's mark for Louis Ravinet & Charles Denfert.

This set popular is in excellent overall condition for its age.
