Sulawesi Plovers popular - Rare 1872 Hand Painted Lithograph, Birds of the Celebes Antique Print

Beautiful original hand-colored lithograph of the pale-bellied myna (1. Acridotheres Cinereus) and charadrius plover (2. Aegialites Peronii) by Dutch zoological illustrator, Joseph Smit. It was printed by M. & N. Hanhart and then water colored by hand. It is rare and finely detailed lithograph from Arthur Viscount Walden's "Birds of the Celebes," which was published in the Transactions of the Zoological Society of London in 1872. It is an original antique lithograph, not a modern reproduction.

Condition:
Very good. Clean with excellent original hand color.

It will be packaged in a plastic sleeve on a backing and will ship within a rigid mailer for protection.
