Horse tack items on a beige tan lap quilt is the perfect gift for a horse lover. This all cotton 60 by 52 inch quilt has a center panel featuring lots of realistic horse items such as saddles, bridle, ropes, chaps, wagon heel, cowboy hat and more. The natural looking colors in the print are set off by three borders. The inner is a red tone on tone. the center is the narrowest and is a brown on brown print. The outer border is one of small horseshoes popular on a denim blue background.
The quilt is machine quilted using a wide loopy meander in the center. Some of the center quilting follows the curves of the items such as the rope and saddle curves. The borders are quilt in a progressively smaller loopy design as each border moves outward. The horse show border quilting is newly the same size as the actual show on the print. The center is done with a gold thread and the borders are quilted with red thread.
The quilt backing is a red cotton with a small print of gold and blue that matches the same colors in the borders. The binding is doubled, machine sewn to the front of the quilt and then stitched by machine to the back.
The lap quilt can be machine washed on gentle and dried on low or line dried. washing may give a slight pucker that gives the impression of age but the colors will remain bright.
