Rare blue bowl!

This bowl has the most lovely ice blue color.
It is from the Revontulet series designed by Tauno Wirkkala for Humppila Glass in Finland and made ca 1970s.

"Revontulet" means "Aurora Borealis", a special, very beautiful light phenomen which you can exoerience in the Nordic countries - especially very much up in the North like Finland or Greenland. And what´s fascinating about this bowl also is its play with light. The bowl looks like it´s made of lots of pieces of ice crystals and has very beautiful light reflections. Its irregular shape makes it difficult to grasp in one glance.

Very good used condition.
No chips, cracks or repairs.
There is a bubble burst in inner bottom of bowl from production which is a little bit sharp.
