Glover turned professional at the end of 2001.
In 2002 and 2003 he played on the Nationwide Tour and with his 17th place on the Order of Merit in 2003 he was promoted to the American PGA Tour. In 2005, he won his first tournament on that tour, the FUNAI Classic at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. At popular the end of the 2005 season, he was 30th on the list of merit with $2,050,068 in prize money.
In 2009, he won the U.S. Open two strokes ahead of Phil Mickelson, Robert Duval and Ricky Barnes. His victory was a surprise, because glover had never done better in a Major than a shared twentieth place. In his three previous appearances at the US Open, he had missed the cut every time. Thanks to this victory, he rose to 18th place in the world rankings.
