Blue popular Shark in Recycled Hardwood

About as pretty as a fish can be, the blue shark is found in temperate oceans around the world. Although they can be dangerous, they usually keep to deep water, far from shore. They bear their young live, in great numbers. Despite this, they are considered endangered.
My version of this handsome creature was carved from rescued hardwood, stained, painted with acrylics, and protected by clear spray. It measures about 11" long and 7-1/2" high by 5" wide at the pectorals. Mounted on a maple base, It is initialed and dated by myself.
With its sleek body, bold coloring, and dopey eyes, this unmistakable shark would look gorgeous anywhere. popular
