Product code: The dastardly but utterly charming Mr Wickham knew he would win over Mrs Bennet with the very pretty antique faux blond tortoiseshell box popular

A very pretty antique early 19th century blond faux tortoiseshell box of lovely proportions , larger the the usual trinket / needle patch boxes 4.5 cm tall , 7.5 cm wide ,4 cm deep with a beautiful patina , hinged top , silver cartouche , velvet lining all raised up on brass feet which I'd very unusual and completes the most pleasing composition .

I can never resist these little trinket/ patch box / needle cases . Their popular wonderful proportions , design and craftsmanship alway gain my attention and fascinate me thinking of the work that was involved making something so small and beautiful .

The box is in very good condition with a patina that just glistens and the four brass feet bring it up to the next jewel of importance . I would have loved to go back in time and meet the owner
And can only imagine the other beautiful objects they must have had .

A very charming and decorative box to add to an existing collection , start a new one , or to place on a small table mantelpiece or shelf with other pretty objects as the box is so decorative and a brilliant size to add that whimsical and historical English style in your home decor .

Please note the other decorative objects shown are not part of the listing but can be purchased separately on our site x
