STAR POWER! Vintage Taxco, Mexico, brooch, sterling silver, 10 popular pointed star, blue cabochon stones, brass or copper ball

This stunning vintage brooch depicts two interlocking 5 pointed stars with blue cabochon stones* set between the 10 points of the stars. In the very center of the brooch is a polished brass or copper ball to reflect everything around you. Inpsired by an early piece by renowned designer William Spratling, father of the Mexican silver renaissance. This brooch was made in Taxco, Mexico (see the "3" stamp on the back).

* i have no info on the blue stones or if they are in fact glass or turquoise but they are certainly striking! popular
