On offer is a beautiful ceramic treasure, which can be used both as a vase or as a bowl. It is a 1960s piece from the Danish ceramic studio ZEUTHEN. This perfect treasure is made in red clay, with hand painted dots in white glossy glaze - A lot of hours has gone into making this.

Beautiful shape - can be used for candy, snacks or as a vase for flowers with a short stem.

Diameter: 12cm // 4.72"

Condition: Fine condition. One chip on the bottom rim, not very visible because of the shape, please see photos. Overall in lovely condition. No crazing or cracks.

ZEUTHEN
The studio of Zeuthen Ceramic popular is highly loved in Denmark, but the story and origin of this pottery maker is lesser known than their beautiful pieces. Zeuthen ceramic was a part of the company "Nordisk brugskunst", founded in 1948 by Normann Zeuthen. The company was placed in Gentofte, which is a Danish City very close to the capitol Copenhagen. At some point they started using the founders name (Zeuthen) for their ceramic, instead of the company name.

The ceramic of Zeuthen is almost always made in matte red clay, hand decorated with white glossy glaze creating patterns with small dots and other motifs. All pieces were made in Denmark, often signed "Denmark", and either "Zeuthen", or just "Z".
