Coasters sliced from petrified wood! The unique thing about petrified wood stone is that it still has the cells from when it was alive, so most of the petrified wood actually soaks up condensation from your drinks! In addition, I have never had a problem with these sticking to my cups! That said, be careful with your coasters, because they can still break if dropped or banged around.
Petrified wood is the replacement of organic matter by minerals - thus turning a living organism into something that can last forever. This process can take millions of years and leaves us with beautiful artifacts of lost eras.
All rocks sold by D Bar E Studio were collected and cut by our family. Each rock is hand selected based on its characteristics to ensure quality and uniqueness.
