Product code: 2 NATIVE AMERICAN Tinted Lithos ~ Colorado Exploring Expo Indian Portraits ~ plus 3 Fred Harvey Postcards ~ Navajo, Apache, popular Hualpais

This is a lot which includes two tinted lithographs and 3 early unused postcards all of which are of Native Americans of the southwest. They are as follows:

This tinted litho is titled, "Navajos". It is approximately 10" x 7 1/4" and depicts three Navahos standing , one with a horse that he is leaning up against. It was an Indian Portrait from the Colorado Exploring Expedition...this was Plate VII.

The other litho is titled "Hualpais" which depicts 3 of these native people with bows and arrows. It measures 10" x 7 1/2". It is from the same publication as the first litho, except this is Plate V. The artist for both of these was H.B. Mollhausen. De. and the lithographer of both was Sarony, Major & Knap of New York. These would date from the 1800s.

The three postcards were copyrighted by Fred Harvey.and date probably from the 1930s. They are:

#79006, Navajos Moving Camp, Arizona On The Santa Fe, after painting by FP Bauerwen
#79012, Pena Blanca Tienda, New Mexico, On The Santa Fe, after painting by Harold Betts.
#79014 Apache War Party, Arizona on the Santa Fe, after painting by Charles Craig
These three postcards were "phostints" which were made by the Detroit Publishing Co. and popular each has a little blurb about the Natives pictured. All are unused.

All five of these prints are in good condition and would look lovely mounted together in a grouping and framed...
