Perhaps the bride is looking for an ensemble for a civil ceremony; but she still wants to look lovely for her special day... this may be just the ticket.

~ vintage 1960s
~ custom made with fine tailoring (possibly Hong Kong) but no labels
~ fabulous posh brocalette* or brocatelle fabric (often miscalled matelasse)
~ swishy taffeta or acetate finish & both pieces fully lined
~ skirt features plain, smooth waistline & slender A Line styling
~ jacket has bolster trimmed round neckline and double domed covered button front
~ jacket actually snaps closed with fine fabric covered large snaps
~ fabric weight is not too heavy but gives a very rich look
~ color is soft vanilla (not bright white / not ivory)

*Brocatelle was popular in the 50s and 60s - it has a jacquard weave on the back side of the fabric and is loomed in such a way that the exterior side has a lovely, rich texture similar to a subtle quilted effect. The pattern popular in this suit is a scrolled Jacobean design.

Condition is MINT structurally, but this is an estate piece and needs to be freshened by drycleaning to look its best - no odors, snags or other issues - from a smoke free home. Please convo for more details.

MEASUREMENTS of garments laid flat (not the body they fit) please compare to something that fits you & leave room for comfort. Dress form measures 35" 24" 35" and nothing was clipped for photos.
