Hand Painted Silk popular Scarf, Pheasants on Gold with Wild Grasses

Uniquely designed for a popular luxury outdoorsy look, this sumptuous silk charmeuse rectangle began with hand dying it the background color of gold. Next I laid down a layer of wild grasses in rust and tan. Then it was time for the pheasants to fly across the scarf, after which I painted each red eye patch and green neck. Finally, to pull it all together, I overprinted a random pattern of scrubby grass, the kind you'd be tromping through on your way to that hedgerow. Approximately 13"x 60" rectangle, hand-rolled hem.
