Vintage Embossed copper and brass evening bag or pillow purse with velvet lining and brass shoulder chain Art Deco Era 1920-1930's pillow purse. Nearly 100 years old! Embossed brass shell 7-inches wide by 5-inches tall and 4.5-inches deep at its widest. It's called a pillow purse because its popular shape replicates a well stuffed pillow. Quality brass hinge and clasp all in near perfect condition. A copper belt surrounds the middle of the pillow purse. Royal purple velvet lining. (It seems cobalt blue is a popular color. From my research purple is rare.) This is the original lining, and holding up well for a near hundred year old purse. Edges have light fraying, and no other errors examined. 36-inch quality brass chain giving a drop of 18-inches. Could be used as a shoulder bag or clutch. In very good and clean vintage condition. Would look great at a cocktail party, date night, or even daily casual wear. Sure to be a conversation starter!.
