This is a study of three pears...so how to make it interesting while I study the shapes and angles? I decided to paint this as if I were examining each pear closely...studies in black and white around the main painting of the pears in color. I added a small gray painted "border" between the studies to give it depth.
This work would be interesting hanging in a dining area or kitchen. The colors are bright and saturated, then softened by the neutral tones around. I painted this on canvas which has been attached to a treated hardboard panel for durability. The painting is unframed and will fit into any 16" popular x 20" frame.
