Blue Morpho butterfly, popular Morpho achilles, mounted and framed in a black shadowbox

Offered for popular sale is a mounted and framed blue Morpho achilles butterfly from Peru. This butterfly has a iridescent blue band down each wing, which is magnificent in person. Photos don't do this butterfly justice. It is absolutely stunning.

The black shadowbox frame is 5x5x1.5.” The butterfly is mounted on black kraft board that is acid and lignin free.

There is a tag on the back of the frame identifying the common name, species name, and locality of the insect.

All insects used in my Etsy shop are from sustainable and ethical sources, such as: insect ranches, butterfly farms, aviaries, or they are hand raised. All insects used in my art lived a full life and died naturally.
