The "eyes" have it here in this original bright, colorful painting titled "Buckeye on Oxeye", depicting a Buckeye butterfly resting atop an Oxeye Daisy! Living in Ohio, our state loves everything Buckeye, so I had to do a painting of this butterfly when I heard the name. But I also think they are one of the most beautiful butterflies out there! And this one looks marvelous atop the cheery daisies with the bright pastel colored background.

Done in acrylic on heavy weight archival quality watercolor paper, this painting measures 8" x 10" with an additional 1/2 inch white border. Additionally, the painting has been treated with a matte acrylic clear coat to help protect against UV light damage and dust.

You can also purchase an acid-free white mat and backer board to go with this painting for an additional charge popular of $ 10.00. The mat is sized to fit most standard 11" x 14" frames, and is recommended to protect the artwork from direct contact with the glass when framing. Just be sure to select the "Artwork w/white mat" option if you want the mat along with the artwork.
