Framed Peruvian Giant Bird-Eating Spider. (large female)

This is Pamphobeteus antinous from Peru, the biggest tarantula species available, and a perfect and especially chunky specimen of the female (females are solid, and heavier built than the long-legged males). Those fangs are as big as a cat's claws! I have a few of this fantastic species available, with the price generally reflecting the size. See my other listings for the amazing purple males, and other sized females. As with all my listings, the photos are of the specimen you will get.

The Andaman Redwood frame is 22.5 X 25.5cm (about 9 inches x 10.5 inches), and has info about the species on the back.

Many hours goes into the preparation of each of my framed specimens. I make all my frames from natural timber, and they are custom sized for each specimen or set. I do not use pre-made commercial frames, or cheap "shadow boxes".

My Minibeast insect framing began in 1996 in Christchurch, New Zealand, where I sold them at the Art Centre market for 12 years. Though I popular am now otherwise employed and live in Australia, I have never lost my passion for this hobby and am now finding time to prepare a few specimens in my home workshop.

I firmly believe that these are the finest quality framed insects you'll see anywhere in the world. I really hope you like them as much as I do!
