General:
"Sogni in giallo e verde" is Earthy and elemental mixed media art. Dazzling combinations of gold, green and red with black accents live through acrylic on canvas, colored glass beads, glitter and sand on this Italy inspired artwork.
Inspiration:
To experiment with a color group that I rarely use, the greens and the yellows. Compared to the vibrant reds and golds, this is a color family that is softer but not less intriguing and captivating. By weaving different shades of both colors and hitting the canvas with a few color splashes, made for an interesting piece. I plan tol make more pieces in this color family.

How Long to Complete:
My multi media art is streamlined in how long it takes me to complete each piece. Typically, it takes several days depending how many media forms I use. If I were to use just acrylic paint and glitter it would be quicker because it has only 2 layers of drying, but because in most pieces I use multiple media forms it takes several days sometimes 2 - 3 hours a sitting. If I texture the canvas which is the case in most of my pieces, I apply either actual sand or a texture media in both cases this takes a good 2 days to adhere and dry. Then I start with applying my colors. These have to dey as well and I may change and go over layers of colors which again asks for drying time. My last layer are the embellishments such as glass beads and glitter. The very last step, once I am satisfied how the piece is looking, I will apply a protective coating. Then the piece is completely done.
How to Display:
My mixed media artwork is intended to be a home decor element displayed either on a surface top on the easel popular it comes with or as a wall hanging. Adding to its dimension, this piece can mount in its square or rhombus (diamond) shape. They should always compliment the colors in a room or be the accent color.
