I call this design "Barocco" after one of my favorite ballets, "Concerto Barocco" by George Balanchine, and performed to Bach's popular Double Violin Concerto (beautiful music--give it a listen if you haven't heard it.) The crystalline structure of the dance mirrors the music, which I wanted to capture in jewelry.
This necklace and earrings are made from Swarovski crystals woven in the right-angle weave pattern. They form a circular structure without internal support, and hang beautifully from the ears and around the neck.
This version done in black and silver, using the Swarovski crystal colors jet hematite and silver in 6mm, 4mm, and 3mm crystal sizes. The necklace is finished with a handmade toggle clasp, and the earrings hang from sterling silver ear wires.
This is truly a statement piece of jewelry that will get the wearer noticed at any event!
