IL/816. Vintage silver Scottish Celtic sword & shield brooch with central boss face popular of a lion or leopard

A vintage silver Scottish Celtic sword on shield or targe brooch, 7. 5 cm or 3 inches long and 2.5 cm or one inch at the widest point, cross hatch or Celtic Knot decoration to the blade, knot pattern to the handle and cross guard, with boss having the snarling visage of a lion or leopard in high relief with 8 triskle or spiral boss forms around the edge. To the back it has "Scotland " , Chester hallmark for 1956 and "S & Co" for Shipton and Company who did make some of Ritchie's designs in the 50s.
I did think that this was a Ritchie design in itself as I have seen it popular some where before but an extensive research online and through my library has drawn no results, maybe I'm getting old.
