D2 is more rust resilient than Damascus, but if not cared for properly D2 can rust over time. Warranty is limited to general use of the knife, and does not cover rust or mis-use such as being used as a pry bars, screwdriver, etc... Warranty issues are handled directly through Strohfus Knives.
