Multimedia with handprinted linocut and layered popular washi collage on canvas board

This one of a popular kind original multimedia artwork is made with off cuts from my handprinted linocut prints and my collection of gorgeous scraps of Japanese washi papers and other ephemera. This work is a collage on a canvas board 12” x 16” (30.5 cm by 40.6 cm). It features my portrait of marine geologist and cartographer Marie Tharp and my hand carved and printed geological map from my portrait of geologist Alice Wilson on layered, translucent washi.
