Black Sheep is taken from the classic nursery rhyme. In this wreck, the black sheep is pulling his cart of wool into town, but he has some strange child wearing a doll mask seated inside the cart. I fell in love with this image because its so weird and unnatural and doesn't make sense with he rhyme. I used a background print drawn by an artist whose name is unreadable but looks like: B. Atalay. The signature is dated 1873 and the drawing is of a local Georgia landmark, Mt Vernon and the caption says: East Front. The frame is black beveled wood with a very thin line of gold painted just under the outside edge lining the frame. The mat is a textured papier mat in off white. The colors of the wreck pop beautifully against the black and white line drawing of the background. Thanks for looking!
