Set of 11 fascicles edited by the uruguayan newspaper "El País" during the 1978 "FIFA World Cup".
Printed in newspaper paper. The front and back covers are printed in color, the inside in black and white.

Very difficult to find, even in Uruguay.
Measures: 18 x 27 cm. tabloid
The issues vary in number of pages. All are complete. There are 4, 8, 10 and 12 pages.

The Cup was won by the host nation, Argentina, who defeated the Netherlands 3–1 in the final, after extra time. The final was held at River Plate's home stadium, Estadio Monumental, in the Argentine capital of Buenos Aires. This win was the first World Cup title for Argentina, who became the fifth team (after Uruguay, Italy, England, and West Germany) to be both hosts and world champions."

La Copa del Mundo volvía así a Sudamérica por primera vez desde Chile en 1962. El torneo fue disputado en seis estadios, repartidos en las ciudades de Buenos Aires, Rosario, Mar del Plata, Córdoba y Mendoza.
La mascota de este mundial fue Gauchito Mundialito y la pelota oficial sufrió un cambio revolucionario con la aparición de la Adidas Tango. Esta pelota se convirtió en un clásico del diseño que iba a perdurar durante cinco mundiales, y contaba con mayor impermeabilización que los diseños anteriores.
