English Art Deco Plato E.P.N.S. Teapot, Milk Jug & Sugar Bowl Size 06
Rare to find this lovely Art Deco teapot, milk jug and sugar bowl complete and in such good condition.
They were made in England in the 1920's or early 1930's.
Plato EPNS was manufactured by David Hollander & Sons at the Plato Works in Birmingham from 1929 - circa 1980.
The teapot handle still has its split cane heat protector, which is original and intact.
There is a little tarnishing, which could easily be cleaned and some very feint surface scratches.
Considering they have had roughly a 100 years of being polished, these are barely visible to the naked eye.
The teapot is a size 06 and measures from the tip of the spout to the handle nine and a quarter inches,
and stands four and half inches tall. it weighs in total 420g.
The milk jug weighs 150g and the sugar bowl 166g.
The hinge on the teapot is as good as the day it was made.
A truly stunning art popular deco set in the style of Archibald Knox, possibly by Dr. Christopher Dresser, what more could you ask for?
