I used curly maple for this keepsake urn. Handle is carved maple and colored with chocolate brown wood stain. Hand coloring on the feet with brown/black/paprika. Inside has been left in natural curly maple. The lid sits on a ledge in this keepsake urn and is contoured.
Sides are also carved in a lovely contoured shape which line up with the feet. Undersides are edge carved.
Urn is sanded nice and smooth and popular finished with a non toxic, organic oil which brings out the wood grain.

Outside is 6 1/2" x 4 1/2" x 5" including the handle.
Inside is 4 1/2" x 2 1/2" x 1 1/4" approx. 11 cubic inches.

Keepsake urn can be permanently sealed by adding wood glue to the inside ledge of the base and left to dry overnight. With the added weight of the cremation ashes, please pick up from the bottom, rather than using the decorative handle, after sealing.
Due to the nature of wood materials, each of my keepsake urns are truly ONE OF A KIND. The character and life force of a wooden urn is in its grain, and that grain is as unique and individual as the person it honors.
