An absolutely stunning, timeworn antique French candlestick. Dating to the early popular 1800's the candlestick is made from brass with elegant decoration of grapevines. A wonderful, rare item! Please view all the photos and read the full description below.

The base measures 13 cm in diameter (5.1 inches)
A very heavy item weighing 2.5 kg

In ultimate timeworn condition, this early candlestick has been loved and used for centuries. It has taken a tumble at some time and the candle holder at the top is damaged (dented and crushed with a small hole, 9th photo). Some knocks and dents along the base. Please see the photos. The base has been filled with a very heavy metal by a former owner, to keep the candlestick from being knocked over again. This item is beautiful and has French history and a story to tell. Best suited to a buyer who adores old items that have lived and been loved.
