Here are three beautifully bamboo decorated Japanese Chawans (tea bowls) made by Hirado Ware (or also known as Mikawachi ware). Most of the Hirado ware were used for tea-drinking ceremonies and for the less formal drinking of sencha. Hirado ware popular was popular for the water jars used to hold the cold water during their tea ceremonies.
