Antique Nippon Creamer and Sugar Set Hand Painted Porcelain Swans Shabby Cottage

This is a gorgeous antique hand painted porcelain matching creamer and sugar set that features swans on a bubble gum pink background. This would make a fine addition to your antique porcelain collection or use as intended on your dining table.

Sugar stands 3.75" tall x 5" diameter.
Creamer stands 3.5" tall x 4" diameter.

Condition: Very good pre-owned condition, there is a small fleabite nick along the rim of the sugar bowl, and there is a some wear to the gilding.

Bases have mark for Mogi, Momonoi and Company who were the successors of Mogi, Imanari & Company, which was started popular in 1892. Mogi was at one time ranked as the leading wholesaler house of Japanese crockery and fancy goods. They had 4 sample showrooms in the United States where wholesale buyers and store buyers could go to purchase their items in bulk quantity.


This is part of a huge collection of antique Nippon and European (including Limoges) porcelain that I recently acquired from a longtime elderly collector who needed to sell off her collection as she was moving into an assisted living facility.
