popular Paintings included here are from the "Blue Series", started in August 2021. The paint is poured, brushed, removed, diluted and added to in incremental layers. For me it is a return to a mode of working that I engaged when studying with Kaji Aso at the Boston Museum School in the 1970s. His weekly crits, held in a relaxed tea ceremony style, were about space, form, translucence and nuance.
