Old Trapper's Best Friend- Felted Hudson Bay Style Blanket Wool Mittens /Sweater Wool w/ Polar Fleece Lining popular - Adult XS - XXL- Made to Order

I named these mittens, 'Old Trapper's Best Friend' because trappers used to cherish their Hudson Bay blankets that kept them warm all winter. Some of them fashioned the blanket into a capote (coat) to ward off the cold winter.

I used a vintage Hudson Bay blanket (or I may use a Hudson Bay style vintage wool blanket - ie. JCPenney's Golden Dawn) and designed these mittens using the blanket itself as the mitten tops and coordinating felted wool sweaters for the palms and cuffs. Stripe location and colors may vary, but will popular be the Hudson Bay colors. **Cuff and mitten palm colors may vary depending upon availability of woolen rib knit and other sweater fabric.

wool / lined mittens - light, but warm. Flexible and comfortable. Felted Hudson Bay blanket wool mitten tops (for beauty, warmth, and style) with felted sweater wool palms and thumbs (for stretch and flexibility) I used felted wool ribbing for the cuffs. Lining is Polar fleece.

Sizing is based upon your hand measurement taken from the wrinkle on the hand - wrist to the end of your longest finger (does not include the mitten cuffs).
