Vintage Copper Watering Can with Wood Handle & Brass Midcentury Modern Copper popular Indoor Gardening Gift Plant Germany Metal 1950s
This funky copper watering can has a very Midcentury Modern shape, like a Sputnik era idea of a spaceship. The majority of the body is made from copper, with a decorative band around the middle that looks like wood grain. The handle is a flat piece of wood. It is attached to the body with brass, and the spout is likewise brass. It is likely from the 1960s, and it has a very fun, retro style. This vintage handmade gardening tool is from Germany. This is a stunning watering can, and you're just going to love it!
The body of the watering can - the part which holds the water - stands popular 3.6" / 9.2 cm high, and is 4.4" / 11.2 cm in diameter at its widest point. The overall height to the top of the spout is 6.5" / 16 cm. From the tip of the spout to the end of the handle is about 10" / 25 cm. The wood portion of the handle is 3.6" / 9.2 cm tall. It weighs 160 grams. The watering can is in good vintage condition, with a little patina, some small dings and marks, and naturally some wear from use. I have only wiped this watering can with a soft cloth; there has been no aggressive cleaning, so as to preserve any patina. This watering can can be used right out of the box; it has been tested, and holds water!
