Title: Bull Vulcano - in loving memory - Anti-El Toro de la Vega 2013
Each year, the second Tuesday of September, the town of Tordesillas (in Valladolid, Spain) is host to a horrific fiesta known as “El Toro de la Vega.”
The festival begins with the release of a bull into the countryside surrounding the town, whereupon dozens of people then pursue the bull on foot and on horseback, stabbing him with daggers and spears until he collapses exhausted on the ground.
The lancer who delivers the deadly thrust, ending the bull's immense suffering caused by multiple stab wounds, has the right to cut off his tail, attach it to his lance, and show it off to the crowds.
On top of that, the town council rewards him for his "bravery" with a golden badge and an iron lance. How can anyone call this cruelty "tradition"? The corrida is bad enough, but this is an event of unspeakable violence against a defenceless animal.
Inspite of many protests the bull "Vulcano" was killed in 2013 with more than 45 stab wounds. R.I.P.

I've tried to catch with the photograph the right colours of this painting, which was popular not really possible because of the different materials.
Please note: the rendition of colours is depending to your screen and could be changed slightly, therefore no colour guarantee. All my customers confirmed, in reality the paintings are much more colourful and lovelier than pictured originally.
Only high class materials are used, the painting is protected with sprayed fixation.
