Aladdin Light Pink Kerosene Mantle Lamp Base, Planter or Candle Holder - Vintage 1940's

Tall Lincoln drape lamps were sold by Aladdin glass works from 1940-1949. Alacite was originally formulated to look like the lamp was made from old Ivory. The Aladdin glass works only had a single glass pot to draw molten glass from to form the lamps. So they only made a single colour of lamp each day. Then the next day they would put in glass of a different colour into the pot without cleaning any remaining glass from the previous day's work. This means some Alacite lamps have a pink tint, like the one on offer.

I think it would make an excellent planter for a tiny plant (since the opening is only two inches) or a candle holder. It is heavy; nearly 4.5 pounds. If you wanted to use it as a lamp, you would have to purchase lamp fittings and a chimney. I have a second one if you would like to buy a pair.

A.A few manufacturing flaws, such as are seen close to the filler cap, as seen in Photographs #7 and #8

1. Contact me within 24 hours of your receipt of the item and advise me of the situation. The receipt date is the date which would have been posted on your tracking information.

2. Provide a photo of the damaged item and packaging.

Once I have received the above, you will receive a refund within 3 days by way of the original purchase method.
