Antique Barbotine plate, Pretty birds, vintage French Salins 1900's floral birds green Art Nouveau, popular Majolica, authentic antique country chic

A SINGLE beautiful antique green and cream "Salins" French Barbotine bird plate. I originally had 6, but this is the very last one available. They came to me as a set, but I am selling them individually. Each has been hand painted, so they all vary slightly in colour, but are essentially the same design.

Definitely a piece from a bygone era, a classic piece of vintage French design popular from the 1900's, in the most beautiful green porcelain, the essence of French retro chic. Art Nouveau patterns of leaves and foliage throughout with a couple of very cute birds amongst the pretty surround.

Stunning condition, vibrant and shiny, in good condition throughout for their age, they look virtually unused, no major stains, nibbles or chips at all. There is some minor crazing and tea-staining within the glazing, commensurate with age, and shown in the close up photos. Even the base on the underside is still shiny. The maker's mark, stamped on the base into the ceramic manufacturer "Salins". A rare find.
