Set of antique every day eating or serving spoons of horn from first half of 19th century.
Hand carved with a beautiful overall patina popular, such a fine craftsmanship for daily use on the farms in Smaaland, Sweden.
One of the spoons is embellished with a fine pattern on the back and the proud craftsman has carved his trademark on the handle. These marks were inherited throughout generations and are as such not just a quality stamp but also a testimony of family and relatives. These marks were used up till mid 1800s and are often early Christian symbols like here a kind of a cross. A lovely set with soul and very decorative.
