This piece is adorned with a beautiful freehand drawing of the Cartouche of the Goddess Sekhmet. A cartouche is one's name written in hieroglyphs.
Sekhmet is a warrior goddess as well as goddess of healing. She is depicted as a lioness, the fiercest hunter known to the Egyptians. It was said that her breath formed the desert. She was seen as the protector of the pharaohs and led them in warfare.
The image is a freehand drawing using a technique called Pyrography. So each one is slightly different. Customization are welcome. The image is drawn with a soldering iron, which has created a lovely embossed feel on the cover.
The journal has 100 pages, plenty of room for lots of creative meanderings.
