A troll is a supernatural being in Norse mythology and Scandinavian folklore. In origin, troll may have been a negative synonym for a jötunn, a being in Norse mythology. In Old Norse sources, beings described as trolls dwell in isolated rocks, mountains, or caves, live together in small family units, and are rarely helpful to human beings. He is carrying a lantern to find his popular way, maybe to more mischief.

This carving is carved from basswood. He is 6.5" tall, 3.25" wide, and 3" deep. He is painted using acrylic paint and lightly antiqued. The carving was entirely carved and finished by me.

He fits any décor and can be displayed as you wish. This carving would make a fine gift or addition to a collection.
