Product code: Auxiliary popular Hunting Knife

The Auxiliary is a small hunting and skinning knife ideal for any hunter or outdoors enthusiast. The 80CRV2 High Carbon Steel has been carefully crafted, and has been heat treated in a 6 stage process to achieve superior durability and sharpness. Each knife is delivered razor sharp.

In addition each knife includes a Kydex sheath, with the option to upgrade to a hand tooled leather sheath.

Since we've started making the Auxiliary it has quickly become one of the most popular hunting and skinning knife that we offer at Fehr Forgeworks. Due to the comfortable handle and blade design it works well for skinning, as well as a great all around camping and utility knife.

Although the 80CRV2 High Carbon Steel has a tougher edge than most stainless steels, one downside is that the blade is more prone to rust. In order to combat that issue with this knife we give it a stonewash finish, which is an acid etch that gives it a tough, black oxide finish that not only looks tactical and cool, but also protects against rust in harsh environments.

Each knife is hand crafted from quality materials with precision and careful attention to detail. We offer several handle options and also offer custom orders. Feel free to contact us at fehrforgeworks [!at] gmail.com if you have any questions of to place a custom order.

*since this is a high carbon steel knife it may be more prone to rust than a stainless steel popular knife. We recommend applying mineral oil to protect the blade from rust, as well as keeping it in a dry location and your knife should last a lifetime.
