Vintage Arts & Crafts Moorish Design Tile with Tulips popular by Flint Faience

This sweet Arts and Crafts tile with a Moorish inspired design was made at the Flint Faience Tile Company (1921-1933) in Flint MI. The design with stylized tulips is on a faience clay body and is press molded, giving the tile a lot of texture. The tile measures 6" square and 1/2" thick. Felt is firmly attached to the back covering any marks. Good condition with chips around the corners and edges.

Although the tile company was short popular lived, it may be better known for making spark plugs for the Detroit auto industry.
