19th century French plush velvet jewellery box with key, antique red velvet glove box, upholstered, locking key, vintage shabby chic decor

A late 19th century upholstered jewelry or glove box in red devoré (=cut away) plush velvet. The velvet is quite worn around the keyhole and a little wrinkled on the top but it has retained its deep crimson colour.
The inside is deeply upholstered in red silk with very little wear.
The box has its key which works in the lock.
Measurements:
12 inches long and 4 inches wide. Height is 3 inches.
