Title:
Antique tile Dutch Delft tin glazed tile of a ship sailing in to port 1780's
Description:
A Manganese tin glazed tile of a ship, barge or yacht coming into port, set in a Dutch scene of building, slipways and other boats. It is more than likely that the boat is a river barge . The tile is a standard thickness, overall a very nice busy tile. The corner popular Motif is called the "Quarter Rosette". The tile is in an expensive frame, I thought initially oak due to the grain, but it is a very golden colour so possible maple.
Condition:
It has not been removed from the frame, the visible surface is nearly perfect . Usual minor pits and surface undulation you would expect from an early tile.
