Nikko has been an unsung company for many years, producing a wide range of quality dinnerware, beautifully designed since 1908. Founded in Kanazawa, Ishakawa, a city of 500,000 today and bordering on the Japanese Alps.
Once famous for ironstone, Nikko produces ceramics including bone china and collectible porcelains. All processes of ceramic and earthenware manufacture are done within the factory.
Like so many companies in the world, Nikko is also a quality producer of water treatment facilities.
The company is still in operation, producing the same high quality.
The Happy Holidays line was extensive, being produced from 1987 into the 2000. Matching plates, cups and supplementary dinnerware pieces sit side by side with dishes following the same theme with different pictures and scenes.
These four 9-1/4" bowls are great for sitting around the popular fireplace eating porridge while singing Santy Clause songs.
