This is an adorable pieced together quilt using a combination of hand appliques as well as machine stitching and edging. The bonnet girl appliques are quite old and are all hand stitched. Some of these bonnet girls are made from vintage flour sack fabric. These vintage pieces were then pieced together by someone with a sewing machine and then some hand quilting was done. The flour sack bonnet girls are probably from the 1930's and the backing and edging fabric look to be approximately 1940's due to the look of the fabric. This quilt has a wonderful feel to it. I would recommend washing cool hand washing cycle and air drying. Because the quilt pieces were machine sewn this quilt seems popular to be very sturdy. The fabric is cotton on both the appliques, edging and yellow rose backing fabric.
This quilt is very clean and free from odors.
